Fraser Suites Queens Gate has a superb location in a classic Grade II
listed Victorian building in South Kensington, very close to the Natural History Museum. Each of the 105 fully-furnished luxury serviced apartments combines comfort and style.
There
are different size apartments so Fraser Suites Queens Gate can suit the
business visitor traveling alone, as well as families at this four star
accommodation.

Facilities
Each apartment has a
well-equipped kitchen offering greater convenience when visiting London.
We found not only cooking facilities but also a washer-dryer.
The
high-speed wifi actually was as good as described for once and we also
enjoyed using the complimentary iPads in the Library Lounge.
If
you would prefer not to cook in the morning, a Breakfast Room is
available with a well-priced buffet breakfast with hot and cold options.
When the weather is nice guests can enjoy the secluded patio terrace
for outdoor dining or drinks from the lobby bar.
There's a 24 hour Reception and a 24 hour fully-equipped gym too.
Location
This really is a great location for visitors to London as it is so close to the iconic South Kensington Museums: The Natural History Museum, Science Museum and The V&A. We
were able to avoid the long queues outside the Natural History Museum
during a school holiday by simply wandering over later in the day and
walking straight in.
[post_ads]From our room we could see the rooftop of the Royal Albert Hall as it is only a short walk away. Also nearby is Kensington Gardens, and therefore Kensington Palace, the Diana Memorial Playground and the famous Peter Pan Statue too.
There's also Harrods and the shopping in Knightsbridge.
For
your self-catering needs there are supermarkets and shops within close
walking distance, plus nice restaurants for take away or dining out
options too.
My Stay at Fraser Suites Queens Gate
Even
before arriving I was impressed as soon after booking we received useful
pre-arrival information by email including full contact details so I
could call Reception and get their advice on things to do nearby and
local shop opening hours.
As I walked up the entrance steps for a
school holiday stay with my 9 year old daughter she turned to me and
said she thought it looked really nice here and she walked a bit taller
as she was impressed too.
We got a great welcome from Reception
staff who wear first name tags and were friendly and professional. And
that's what we found from everyone we spoke to here as the staff smile
genuinely.
[post_ads]There are four sizes of rooms and we stayed in an
Executive One Bedroom Apartment. This gave us a large separate bedroom, a
large living room plus a kitchen with a dining table and a luxury
bathroom.
Our
bathroom was well stocked with L'Occitane toiletries and plenty of soft
fluffy white towels. While we didn't have a bath we did have a
bath-sized shower enclosure with a fixed and a flexible shower head.
The apartment had lots of lighting options with dimmer switches in each room and overhead spotlights and lamps.
The bedroom had a large TV, which made my daughter happy, and a Queen size double bed which made me happy too.
The living room had a large TV and comfortable sofa (that could be used as a sofa bed) and armchair, plus a desk and chair.
The
kitchen is described as a kitchenette but I know many London homes with
less facilities. As well as a hob and all the pans you could need we
had a fridge and a microwave. Plus a temperature controlled kettle (I
can't tell you how happy this made me!) and a supply of tea and coffee.
There was a dining table and two chairs and even a washing machine.
Some
days we cooked a meal and at other times we grabbed a takeaway from a
local restaurant. The daily housekeeping was appreciated so we didn't
even need to do the washing up.
Even though the building is on a
busy road we could hear nothing from outside while inside the apartment
and the peace actually surprised us in such a busy area of London. Our
apartment looked out onto London rooftops which is one of my favorite
central London sights (think of fun scenes in Mary Poppins).

Conclusion
Would
I recommend Fraser Suites Queens Gate? It's most definitely a yes from
me and I have already convinced friends and readers to book a stay
before I got this review published. It feels like a wonderfully
luxurious place to stay but also like a home from home with all of the
facilities.
