Single ladies: Are you looking for a new place to live and, perhaps, a major life change? Does your list of needs include a washer/dryer in unit, a working fireplace, and sexual empowerment? Well then, this may just be the list for you.
The dating site, WhatsYourPrice.com, compiled user data from January 2014 to December 2016 between members living in the United States to determine the cities where women are most likely to make the first move, by initiating contact in online dating.
[post_ads]Now, as #thedatechallenge taught us, fostering a culture in which women feel comfortable having agency in their love life doesn’t automatically mean you’ve got a feminist utopia going on, but, hey, it’s a start right?
Unsurprisingly, the top 10 cities lean toward areas that are large and liberal, and the list is crowned by the left-wing wonderland that is Berkeley, California. But there are still a few surprises there. Like, for example, who knew Honolulu was so forward-thinking, with nearly 85 percent of the interactions initiated by women?
Incidentally, many of the cities on the following top 10 list coincide with the happiest cities in America. Coincidence? We think not.
