This is no way an official Natural Wonders of the World list. It is my Best Mother Earth Natural wonders of the world list based upon what I have already had the pleasure of enjoying and appreciating up close and personal. I know that some of these may already be on the official list and with great reason. The Earth is such a beautiful place and there is so many natural wonders, I’ve only seen a smidgen in comparison. So feel free to add your favorites in the comment box below.
01. Sunrise over Mt Bromo, Java, Indonesia
Sunrise over Mt Bromo in Java is the most spectacular sight I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Take the road less travelled to arrive for the show, it’s just as beautiful as the sunrise. We hiked up the mountain to the viewing point at 2:30am just us, the mountain, the moon and the stars.

Mosi-ou-Tanya- the smoke that thunders is a sight that should not be missed. As Robert Livingstone said “On sights as beautiful as this angels in their flights must have gazed”

03. Grand Canyon, Arizona
The majority of visitors who arrive at the Grand Canyon, snap a picture, gaze for 15 minutes and then jump back on the tour bus to go to the next spot, checking off their “I’ve been there” list as they go. The Grand Canyon is far too precious to experience it so fleetingly. Spend time there. Appreciate the North and the South Rim, hike down into her depths, watch the setting sun and marvel at her power and beauty.

I enjoyed Bryce Canyon more than the Grand Canyon and just found it to be a magical fantasy kingdom of fun. A true wonder of the world. Hike it, horse ride through it and just fall in love with it’s unique beauty.

05. Rocky Mountains, Colorado
One of our favorite places to hang out in the skies and appreciating the majestic power of mountains. You are spoilt for choices here, no matter the season, to celebrate the Earth’s natural beauty.
