Both tourists and locals travel to certain places specifically to see the spectacular event. Next time you head out to see the sun going down keep in mind that a true sunset occurs a minute or so before you see the sun disappear. The color of the sunset has to do with the way light from the sun enters our atmosphere.
Maroon Bells, Colorado
The setting sun transforms the aspen trees and Maroon Bells into an absolutely magical place. All that’s missing is you, pitching a tent to spend the night in the gorgeous wilderness.

During a storm
Thunderstorms have a way of lightning the sky that scares many people. Not during a sunset, though. The dramatic orange color that is sometimes the result looks like an almost unreal and certainly rare natural phenomenon.
