Accommodation options in Iquitos cover all tastes and budgets, from backpacker hostels to four-star luxury hotels. All of the following places are located within the city (so no jungle lodges), with many located a short walk from the Plaza de Armas and the riverside boulevard.

Emperador Terraza Hotel
The Emperador Terraza Hotel is a definite front-runner for overall value for money. The location is excellent, the rooms are modern and well appointed, and the service is professional and friendly. Prices range from S/.80 to S/.140, with balcony and hot tub in the most expensive rooms.La Casa Fitzcarraldo
Sat out near the city fringes, the location of La Casa Fitzcarraldo won’t work for everyone. But once you get there, there’s a good chance you won’t want to leave. With its swimming pool, treehouse, miniature leopard, great food, and plenty of movie history, this place is more than just a hotel: it’s an attraction in its own right.[post_ads]Samiria Jungle Hotel
While the name might suggest a rustic jungle retreat, the reality is completely the opposite. The Samiria Jungle Hotel is about as modern as hotels in Iquitos get, while the location is urban jungle rather than Amazon jungle, being about four blocks from the Plaza de Armas and half a block from the riverfront boulevard. Beautiful rooms, excellent service and an impressive pool make this a good option for travelers with cash to spare.Hostal Terra Bella
Despite a lack of color and decoration, Hostal Terra Bella is nonetheless a solid option just a block and a half from the Plaza de Armas. The hotel -- and it is a hotel rather than a hostel -- is clean, secure and friendly. The Emperador Terraza Hotel is a better all-round option, but Terra Bella has the potential to become a worthy rival.Hostal El ColibrÃ
There are no dorms at Hostal El ColibrÃ, but groups can book a comfortable four-bed room with fan for just S/.80 ($25), making it a great option for budget backpackers. If you’re traveling solo, a spacious single room with Wi-Fi, private bathroom, fan and cable TV will cost you S/.50 ($16) per night. Is Hostal El Colibrà the best hostel in Iquitos? From what I’ve seen so far, the answer is yes.Green Track Hostel
Green Track has a number of quirks, some of which are annoying rather than charming, but the dorms are excellent value for money. The private single and double rooms are comfortable but overpriced when compared to other options here, but the dorms are well worth the S/.25 or S/.30 per person rates.[post_ads_2]
