I previously talked about ideas for first dates in San Diego. But what if it’s your hundredth date night? If you’re running out of ideas on what do for date night and are tired of the usual dinner and movie or sunset on the beach, try one of these unique dates you can do in San Diego.
Take a Picture on Potato Chip Rock
Sure, you
can hike just about anywhere, so there’s nothing unique about that. But
can you hike together and take a picture like the one above just
anywhere?

Nope, this photo op is just at Potato Chip Rock in
Poway. Leave early in the morning to beat the crowds and get your cute
couple pic on the ledge at the top, then head out to breakfast. Try
Cully's Restaurant in Poway or head east to the ocean to
Cardiff-by-the-Sea and eat a breakfast burrito at Pipes Cafe. For more
tips on hiking to Potato Chip Rock.
Rent Jet Skis in Mission Bay
If you’re one of the many Midwest transplants in San Diego, you no doubt miss lake life.
Even if you didn’t grow up near a lake, you’ll still have fun with this unique San Diego date idea: Jet Skiing on Mission Bay.
Taking
a Jet Ski out on the ocean can be a bit precarious due to the waves.
Luckily, San Diego is home to the calm waters of Mission Bay, where you
can rent Jet Skis and zip around the bay. Or just rent one and cozy up
together on it while you race about – just be sure you don’t have a
mischievous partner if you’re not the one driving; it’s easy to do a
fast turn and throw the back person off!
[post_ads]Kayak in the Caves of La Jolla Shores
La
Jolla Shores has several kayak rental places where you can get a tandem
kayak to paddle around the ocean on. Take your kayaking adventure to
the next level by joining a tour that will take you through the caves by
La Jolla Shores. You’ll be provided a hard helmet and then you’ll glide
through openings in the rocky earth that makes up the cliff located
between La Jolla Shores and the La Jolla Cove. Along the way, you’re
likely to see seals and stalagmites.
Sail Away on a Harbor Cruise
San Diego isn’t just home to beaches, it also has a gorgeous harbor ideal for some San Diego romance.
Set off on a dinner cruise that sails around San Diego Bay and under
the famous Coronado Bridge for gorgeous views of downtown. Better yet,
charter a private sailboat for the day for a special date you’ll never
forget.
