Halloween brings major festivities at Disney theme parks and on Disney cruise ships all over the world. Most events happen throughout September and October.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World

As the name implies, Disney World's not-so-scary Halloween event is aimed at kids of all ages and focuses on fun instead of fright. At the Orlando theme park, the after-hours Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party is an exclusive event at Magic Kingdom park that requires a separate ticket. Adults and children are encouraged to dress up in costume and trick-or-treat at Disney World's where treat trails feature candy and healthy treats. Special Halloween foods and merchandise, including Halloween MagicBands, are available during the scary season.

During the seven weeks of Halloween Time, both of the Disneyland Resort parks in Southern California—Disneyland and Disney California Adventure—are decked out for a cheerfully spooky and definitely kid-friendly Halloween celebration. Highlights include the seasonal re-theming of Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, Mickey Mouse and his friends in Halloween costumes, and a special focus on Disney villains. In addition, special foods and merchandise items are introduced for the Halloween season.

Halloween on the High Seas takes place on most voyages aboard all Disney Cruise Line ships from late September through October. Families sailing this fall will be treated to a wickedly good time as the Disney ships host frightfully fun events and activities, special decorations, unique menu items in the restaurants, themed parties on deck, and even a Pumpkin Tree that magically transforms throughout the cruise. All four Disney ships offer Halloween-themed Caribbean itineraries during the fall season with stops at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. These special cruises are a good opportunity to see favorite Disney characters decked out in their Halloween costumes at Mickey's Mouse-querade Party. Another highlight is "A Nightmare Before Christmas—Sing and Scream," an interactive movie experience where guests are part of the action, followed by a meet-and-greet with Jack Skellington and Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Disney's Halloween Festival at Disneyland Paris

In Marne-la-Vallee, just outside of Paris, Disneyland Paris puts on Disney's Halloween Festival each year during the month of October. Head to Royal Castle Stage for an extended spooky show and frightfully fun encounters with characters such as Captain Hook, Jafar and Maleficent. Meanwhile, Main Street USA is festooned Halloween decorations, from smiling jack-o'-lanterns to ghoulish ghosts. There are also special foods and merchandise introduced for the Halloween season.

Disney's Haunted Halloween at Hong Kong Disneyland is a major event throughout October. There are opportunities to meet Mickey and other Disney friends dressed in their Halloween costumes, and the "Halloween Time" festivities include parades, costume parties, and trick or treating, At night, the villains come out for live shows and meet-and-greets throughout the park. In addition, special foods and merchandise are introduced during the Halloween season.

Tokyo Disneyland Park offers Disney's Halloween festivities from mid-September through the end of October. The “Halloween Pop’n LIVE” parade is themed to a music festival and features popular Disney characters as well as a wide variety of music performances. Meanwhile, favorite Disney villains such as Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty” overtake the Mediterranean Harbor at Tokyo Disney Sea for a devilishly fun music spectacular called “The Villains World.” The Haunted Mansion gets a special Halloween makeover and there are also special Halloween decorations, foods, and merchandise introduced for the holiday season. For the first time both parks will allow guests of all ages to dress up as Disney characters on any day during the special event period.

While the Halloween season is a bit more downplayed at Shanghai Disneyland Resort, the Disneytown dining and shopping district holds a Halloween Carnival, bringing guests a holiday atmosphere with many free festive activities. Mickey and Minnie Mouse arrive dressed in their Halloween costumes at Disneytown every weekend from mid to late October. Guests can watch Jack-O-Lantern carving demonstrations, enjoy face painting, and on October 31, guests can also go trick or treating at selected Disneytown shops. There is also a nighttime dance party with a DJ and special Halloween lighting.
