By Charlie Kelly

Contrary to the false narrative it gets, adventure traveling isn’t necessarily about swimming with sharks, or heading over to NASA to sign up for some moon expedition. It does not have to be about taking unnecessary risks either. Rather, it is often about exploring parts of the world that goes way beyond taking in the sun and gazing at the stars. You want to make sure you use all that natural energy to catch some fun and push beyond limits – in a safe way that is.

If you’re looking to do any of the below adventures, we highly recommend to check out Bookmundi as they offer tours and adventures around the world. Without further ado, here are the top 12 destinations to consider for some adventure travel.

[post_ads]The Inca Trail is undisputed among the most iconic trek destinations in South America. It is so popular among tourists, and maybe a bit overdone, however, this is easily justifiable. The Inca Trail gives you access to not just amazing scenic views, but also an opportunity to explore its cultural background and hike in the path of an ancient civilization – you get to discover the forgotten city of Machu Picchu!

Due to the massive amount of tourists this place attracts, the Peruvian Government restricted the number of people allowed to walk the trail daily to 500; so it helps if you plan your visit ahead of your desired date and also be aware that the Inca Route is usually closed in February for maintenance.
