National Parks
Beth Caulfield, senior director of destination marketing at Hilton, reminds travelers not to forget our country's stunning national parks when planning Spring break soirees. "National parks are a great, and often overlooked, budget-friendly option for Spring breakers. There's a national park in virtually every climate from coast to coast, and beyond the most obvious options of hiking or exploring, they often offer a variety of free or inexpensive activities," she said. While camping is typically the most affordable route, Caulfield explained that many hotels — including Hilton — offer affordable options near parks like Yellowstone, the Great Smoky Mountains, and more for those not too keen on sleeping outside.

Glamping
For Spring breakers, it's not only about the beaches anymore. Travel deals site TravelPirates is seeing an increase in alternative types of accommodations this Spring, and by far one of the most popular is glamping. Jessica Bisesto, senior editor at TravelPirates, said, "It's the perfect escape for those who love nature but don't want to give up all of the amenities offered by hotels. Glamping retreats are available across the country, making them perfect for Spring breakers without passports." Her pick for a great glamping getaway this Spring? Texas — with prices starting at just $46 per person per night.

Disney Parks
A longstanding favorite for Spring escapes, Disney parks are a prime go-to destination for families, friends, and couples alike. Bisesto explained that when you hunt for the right package deals, you can plan a dreamy escape with Mickey and friends for a surprisingly affordable price. "Disney World is great for any age and any budget. Grab a friend and take advantage of the great deals available this Spring. Round-trip flights, a hotel for three nights, and park tickets can be found for as little as $431 per person."

Malta
While many Spring breakers dream of jet-setting to popular but pricey European party destinations like Ibiza and Santorini, Bisesto recommended visiting the beautiful but more affordable island of Malta instead. "Offering fabulous beaches, incredible views, and fantastic food, this under-the-radar Mediterranean destination is affordable and not to be missed. Travelers are always looking for the next best thing, and trips to undiscovered gems, such as Malta, are on the rise."
