The Cutest Rooftop Cinema Just Opened in L.A.

Is there anything better than hanging out on a cool rooftop during the summer? We may have found the answer. West Hollywood eatery and uber-hip rooftop, E.P. & L.P., has opened Melrose Rooftop Cinema, an open-air movie concept à la Cinespia (the popular outdoor film program held at the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery). But instead of picnicking on the cold, hard ground, guests will be provided with blankets and get to enjoy each flick from comfy, laid back chairs (or plush bean bags with VIP tix). Los Angeles' perfect weather paired with awesome views of the city make this the spot to be this summer.

Shown on a state-of-the-art screen with audio played through nifty glow-in-the-dark wireless headsets, the cinema will be open for screenings every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening from now through October, with tickets priced at $15 for general admission and $25 for VIP seats. One of the best parts is that guests can come early and eat dinner at the restaurant below. The program has implemented a special 'express menu' priced at $34 and features some of E.P.'s most popular dishes—Sticky Spare Ribs, Lou Dogg’s Crispy Skin Chicken, Green Vegetable Curry, and Mango Pudding. Plus, there will be an array of housemade snacks and other goodies for purchase. Dinner-and-a-movie takes on a whole new meaning here.

A few of the picks you can expect to see are throwbacks like Pretty Woman, Pulp Fiction, and Dirty Dancing, action classics including Top Gun, Jurassic Park, and The Fifth Element, and newer titles such as Moonlight, La La Land, and Get Out. There really is a movie for everyone.
