Hotel booking site Booking.com
has pulled the most affordable international and domestic destinations
for August. These are the places where you’ll find the best rates next
month.
First up: Milan, Italy,
easily offers the most significant savings. By looking at the average
price per night of four-star accommodations, Booking.com found that
hotels in Milan are 62 percent cheaper than during the most expensive
week of the year.
Two major German cities, Frankfurt and Berlin,
are also at the top of the list. Hotels in Frankfurt are 61 percent
cheaper the second week of August than they are during the most
expensive week of the year.

Berlin will also offer steep
savings next month, with the fourth week of August averaging 49 percent
cheaper than the most expensive week.
The cities recommended by
Booking.com for August travel aren’t just on sale — they’re also the
best in terms of weather. Often the absolute cheapest weeks coincide
with particularly nasty weather — but German-bound travelers can look
forward to blue skies and comfortable temperatures in the mid-60s, while
temperatures in Milan typically hit the low-70s.
Travelers who want to stay
closer to home will find great deals along the southernmost edge of the
United States. During the fourth week of August, Key West hotel rooms
may be 57 percent cheaper than the most expensive week of the year, and New Orleans hotels could be 52 percent cheaper during the first week of August.
