Valerie Boster—former Vogue editor and co-founder of the chic fashion line La Ligne—and Michael Macaulay tied the knot on her family's property in Deering, New Hampshire. "Everything was outside, including a walk in the woods with the sun coming through the trees, cocktails by the pond, and an al fresco, sunset dinner in the middle of a field with fireworks lighting up the trees. It was pure magic," she says.

When it came to the honeymoon, Michael took charge,
keeping the destination a complete surprise. All Valerie got was a
packing list with specific instructions to bring bikinis, pareos, one
pair of sneakers, and reading material in a carry-on. Turns out, she was
whisked off to Fiji, where they spent five days and four nights at the
secluded Emaho Sekawa resort on Vanua Levu island. The villa overlooked
the jungle and the rest of the island, no interruptions. Here, she
shares her travel tips and a few snapshots from her romantic getaway.

Pack lightly.
I rarely check luggage and try to get the most out of my wardrobe, which means lots of easy dresses and fun accessories to glam up simple pieces. The new La Ligne weekender bag was perfect for all of my essentials: slip dresses and tees like La Ligne's Chemise dress and Lean Lines tee, bikinis by Marysia and Eres, Les Bonbons by Rebecca de Ravenel earrings, and colorful Roxanne Assoulin chokers and anklets.

Remember: Comfort is key while flying.
This was a long flight, so comfort was key. I have a pair of super soft Topshop jeans that I often wear or Adidas track pants with a La Ligne cashmere sweater since I often get cold on flights. I also take one of White + Warren's large cashmere scarves, which double as a blanket on overnight flights.
You'll probably get more use out of skincare products than makeup.
I always pack Clé de Peau concealer, original Chapstick and La Prairie facial moisturizer, which covers all the emergencies like dark circles and thirsty skin that long flights often produce.

Soak in the scenery.
The beach down the winding road from our villa was pretty desolate and wild, with beautiful sand dollars, unbroken shells, and coral sprinkled all over the sand. It was like we were the first people to walk on it.

Don't over-plan.
Our villa had a private plunge pool overlooking the sea where we spent a lot of time just swimming, relaxing, and reading. Our days seemed very full with just those activities.
