The Month of April:
Scandinavia in spring! Seasoned
Scandinavia travelers will tell you that April is the month in which you
should travel to Scandinavia. It is still off-season, with low travel
prices - and the spring weather is here, so summer activities are
opening. Scandinavia's skiing season is now over in most locations.
However, spring flowers and green landscapes definitely make up for
that.
The Weather in April:[post_ads_2]
In April, spring has finally arrived. The climate is still somewhat unstable with occasional late winter storms in Scandinavia's
coastal regions. Now flowers are beginning to bloom and should be
visible around Easter time. Average daily temperatures are 35 - 52
degrees Fahrenheit. Days rapidly increase in length now; April days
offer approx. 13 hours of daylight. For more, visit Weather in Scandinavia.
You can still see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) until mid/late April!

Packing Tips for April Trips to Scandinavia:
Lighter coats are necessary for spring months in Scandinavia.
Since mornings and nights can still be rather cold, it is advisable to
bring along sweaters, cardigans, or jackets, so you can layer clothing
easily and comfortably. Furthermore, raincoats and windbreakers,
regardless of the season, are always a good idea to bring along. Tough
and comfortable shoes are also essential for a Scandinavian vacation if
you want to enjoy outdoor activities.
