During Expo Milano 2015, many special events and things to do are scheduled from May 1 through October 31 in the city of Milan itself. Huge crowds are expected for the Expo so it may be even more difficult than usual to get tickets to see da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper. Be sure to buy tickets in advance and if you want to stay in the city center, book your hotel in advance too.
The following information about special exhibits and events was provided by Mary Anne Evans:

Art Exhibitions in Milan During Expo 2015
Coordinating the theme of Feeding the Planet at the Expo, Arts and Foods, Rituals since 1851
is the story of how the two are bound together. Kitchen implements and
models and images of picnics, building designs, film, graphics and more
show how the vision and consumption of food has evolved since the Great
Exhibition in London in 1851. It’s at the newly opened Arts and Food
Pavilion in the Milan Triennale in the city itself and runs through November 1.
Milan has become one great art gallery with exhibitions put on
throughout the year on Leonardo da Vinci; Giotto; art from the Medicis,
and modern photography . The Palazzo Reale exhibits paintings,
sculptures and more from the golden period for the arts in the Visconti
and Sforza dynasties from the 14th to the 15th century; the Palazzo dell Ragione has Italia inside out, an exhibition of photographs from Italian and international photographers.
Music and Other Events
Other
events in Milan itself include farmers markets, 3 days of Pianocity, a
festival where 300 pianists will perform just about everywhere: in
trams, restaurants and the open air; free concerts in the Piazza Duomo; a
book festival and many more events that can be found on the Milan Tourist website.
