Best Bars with a View in San Diego

One of my favorite ways to spend a lovely afternoon in San Diego is to find a bar with a good view and enjoy a glass of wine or local craft beer. Head to one of these best bars with a view in San Diego and you’ll see why.

Top of the Hyatt[post_ads_2]

Head up, up, and higher to the top level (floor 40) of the Hyatt hotel in downtown San Diego to the sophisticated Top of the Hyatt bar, a lounge that will make you feel like you’re drinking among the skyscrapers of San Diego.

You’ll also get views of the Pacific Ocean thanks to the Hyatt’s close proximity to the San Diego harbor.

Tower23

Leave the dive bars of Pacific Beach behind and head to the trendy and cool Tower23 bar where modern chairs and mood lighting indoor with open windows looking out onto the crashing waves.

For a closer view, head out onto the patio which the bar wraps around to for easy access, and where you’ll be sitting a short stone’s throw away from the bustling PB boardwalk.

George’s Ocean Terrace

I’ve written a time or two about the delicious, gourmet dining experience you can have at George’s at the Cove in La Jolla in their California Modern fine dining restaurant. However, if it’s simply yummy drinks and a good view you’re after, head above the dining room to the rooftop Ocean Terrace restaurant where you’ll find California sunshine and a bar with open air views of the exquisite La Jolla coastline.

C-Level Lounge[post_ads_2]

The wrap around bar at C-Level Lounge (adjacent to Island Prime Restaurant part of the Cohn Restaurant Group) has great water views since the establishment literally resides over the San Diego harbor water on stilts.

You’ll also get views of the San Diego downtown skyline while sipping your drink.

Hotel del Coronado

Relax outside on the Hotel del Coronado’s Sun Deck Grill and Bar, which juts out to the edge of the sandy beach. You’ll sip cocktails or a stiff drink while enjoying both the red-roofed views of the iconic and historic hotel plus the sand and surf of one of San Diego’s most beautifully pristine beaches.

There are several Wine Steals around San Diego, but the one in Cardiff has my favorite view. With a large patio overlooking the expansive North County coast, Wine Steals has an unpretentious, laidback beach vibe while pouring an array of delectable, high-quality wines that won’t break the bank.

Vintana Wine + Dine

For the car lover out there, switch the views of nature for one of Lexus cars by heading up to North County San Diego to the rooftop lounge of Vintana Wine + Dine in Escondido. Located above a Lexus dealership, you’ll be treated to views of a variety of Lexus cars parked below. After you’re done with your drink, walk through the showroom to really ogle some fancy cars.
