The beautiful islands of Fernando De Noronha
lie several hundred miles off the Atlantic coast of Brazil, but the
fact that it is difficult to reach the area doesn't mean you shouldn't
travel to this spectacular archipelago.

The islands have been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site,
not only for its beauty but also for the unique nature of the habitat
that they provide to the wildlife of the area. With so many things to do
and an amazing range of sights to be seen around the islands, here are
seven reasons why you should consider visiting these spectacular
islands.
The Stunning Beaches of the Archipelago
There
are few places in the world where you will find so many stunning
isolated beaches, and there are so many around the islands that if you
explore by boat you can probably find a different one for every day of
the week, and still only see a fraction of what the islands have to
offer.
Make sure to only take with you what you can carry out, as
litter and other items left in the park can cause a significant
environmental hazard.
The Endemic Plant and Bird Species
As well
as being very beautiful, the islands of Fernando de Noronha have some
amazing species that cannot be found elsewhere, and these include
fifteen species of plant and two bird species. The natural diversity of
the islands has been affected by introduced species over the years,
with the Tegu lizards on the islands a legacy of a failed attempt to
remove rats from the archipelago.
Scuba Diving in the Area
As
well as the wildlife to be seen on the islands themselves, the marine
life in the waters around the islands is also very impressive, scuba diving
here an absolute treat, with the limited number of visitors making it
an exclusive dive spot too. You can spot sea turtles and large fish
species such as tuna, grouper and barracuda, while the visibility in
these clear waters is also very good.
To See the Native Dolphin Population
One
of the most popular animal species in the world, dolphins are
particularly known for their playful and inquisitive nature, and
visitors taking a boat trip around the islands will usually spot plenty
of spinner dolphins in the waters around the islands. Playing in the
current behind the boats and having fun leaping out of the water, this
is one of the best places in the world to see dolphins.
Exploring the National Park on the Islands[post_ads_2]
With
over seventy per cent of the islands being dedicated to National Park,
there is no shortage of beautiful wild areas that you can explore during
your visit. From wandering along idyllic beaches to exploring the
inland areas of the islands, the maxim of 'take only pictures, leave
only footprints' is very important to maintaining this beautiful area.
Bask in the Hot Climate Throughout The Year
A
remarkable aspect of the climate in the Fernando de Noronha islands is
that the average high temperatures remains very steady throughout the
year, usually reaching between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. There is a
distinct rainy season between February and July, so most people do still
plan their visits for the dry period when they can make the most of the
stunning beaches.
Snorkeling In The Praia da Atalaia Tidal Pool
This
stunning tidal pool may only be a few feet deep, but watching the
marine life on the pool floor as you float on the top is truly
remarkable. You can spot species of lobster, octopus and many fish in
the pool, although make sure to be careful as snorkeling here is
restricted by the staff who protect the area, and snorkeling is only
allowed at low tide.
