These cities topped the FBI's list for most violent crimes committed.
Violent crime across the United States was down 1 percent in 2014, according to data recently released by the FBI and analyzed by Law Street Media. However, violent crime dropped in only four of the nation's top 10 most violent cities, according to Law Street. Law Street used FBI data to analyze murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault numbers in cities with more than 200,000 residents in 2014 and compared them to those same numbers in 2013.
