Virtuoso recently revealed the most popular fall and holiday travel destinations for upscale American travelers at the 30th annual Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas. The global luxury travel network examined more than $40.7 billion in future bookings to determine the most coveted hot spots around the globe.

Italy

Italy is one of five European countries in the top 10, including three in the top five. Its history, art and culture are nearly unrivaled but just represent just the tip of the iceberg in terms of its overall draw as visitors will discover charming villages, world-class cuisine and breathtaking coastlines.

Unsurprisingly, nearby France is also in demand among upscale travelers this fall and heading into the holidays. The diverse destination remains the most-visited country in the world so don't expect it to drop from this list anytime soon.
