Dreaming of a destination wedding and honeymoon?
Consider doubling down and doing them both in the same place. If you’re
already putting in the time, travel and money, why not take advantage
of the locale for your post-nuptials getaway? More and more couples are
saying “I do” to the idea.

Why the sudden surge? Well, for starters, prominent resorts across the Caribbean—such as Sandals South Coast, a five-star, all-beachfront resort in Whitehouse, Jamaica, which boasts an over-the-water chapel and over-the-water bungalows with butler service (debuting in December 2017)—Central and South America, Europe and the U.S. are making it uber enticing to tie the knot and honeymoon in the same place.

Couples who host a wedding at any Vidanta location throughout Mexico—from Riviera Maya
and Los Cabos to Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán—are eligible for a
four-night stay at the Vidanta resort of their choice. Similarly, Sandos Resorts offer a complimentary honeymoon package for those who exchange vows on site. At participating properties, such as Sandos Cancun, bookings are up 20% since last year.

Beautiful backdrops abound at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo,
where you can choose to make it official at Odyssey, a breathtaking
outdoor pool concept designed by fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld or opt
for an underwater ceremony!
Afterwards, newlyweds can take advantage of everything from cooking
lessons in one of the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurants to living out
high-speed racing fantasies at the circuit of Luc en Provence.

But you don’t have to venture out of the country to double down on your wedding/honeymoon destination. At the new Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach,
couples can get hitched on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Atlantic
Ocean, have their reception in the 4,524-square-foot ballroom and spend
the first few days as husband and wife catching rays in the poolside
cabanas.
